Coaching Skills and Practice (Core,20 Credits)
Coaching Skills and Practice’ (SP5010) builds upon concepts introduced in SP0400 - practice skills, practice behaviours - to consider why these are important to the coaching process and how these practices and behaviours can be used to create progressive and transferable outcomes in a series of coaching sessions. This module aims to introduce the concepts of how to create an engaging and positive motivational climate (e.g. self-determination, achievement goals) which influences athletes’ behaviours, engagement, and well-being in sport.
