General Terms and Conditions 

The Terms and Conditions below apply to all offers in conjunction with offer-specific requirements.

  • All offers are non-transferable.
  • Correct promotional code must be used at the time of booking to be eligible for the Promotion.
  • The Promotion is only available for students with a signed tenancy agreement on 43-week contracts and above.
  • The Promotion is only available to students who are currently residing in the accommodation. Vacating the accommodation or amending the contract length will void the promotion. 
  • To be eligible for the promotion, the student must have a signed tenancy agreement, paid the deposit and moved into the property.
  • The Promotion is open to people who have a completed accommodation booking with Northumbria University during the Promotional Period
  • Employees or any other person affiliated with Northumbria University, its partner companies or their family members, may not enter the Promotion.
  • By entering the Promotion participants agree to these Terms and Conditions, Northumbria University's online Terms and Conditions and the policies contained therein.
  • One entry per person, offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
  • Northumbria University accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by Northumbria University.
  • Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be considered.
  • For any promotion where a prize draw is required, one winner will be chosen in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Winners will be randomly selected.
  • Any decision of the University associated with prize draw, and/or offers is final and cannot be appealed.
  • Only the prize or promotion on offer may be redeemed, alternatives or other requests will not be considered.
  • Winners will be notified via email. The University will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner with details on how to claim. Prizes that have not been claimed within 2 working days will be forfeited. In this instance the University reserves the right to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. If the winner rejects the Promotion or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Promotion will be forfeited and the University reserves the right to select another winner.
  • Prizes and Promotions are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
  • The University reserves the right to substitute any prize with a different prize of similar value.
  • The winner may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Promotion and the winner shall participate in such activity on the University’s reasonable request.
  • The University accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, or injury incurred by you as a result of entering the Promotion or accepting and using the prize. The University further disclaims liability for any damage to your or any other person relating to the participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Promotion.
  • The University accepts no liability for Promotional items which are lost, stolen, destroyed or not redeemed within the activation period specified by the original provider. 

  • The University reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any Promotion with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of the university in all matters under its control is final and cannot be appealed.
  • The University reserves the right to amend, void, suspend or cancel the Promotion at any time without notice.

Offer Specific Terms and Conditions

Bookings for 2023/24

#KitMeOut
01/05/2023 - 31/06/2023

Receive £100 food credit for the catering outlets on campus. Credit applied via the Northumbria Uni Food Hub App after the student has moved into the accommodation. Food credit must be activated by 31/12/2023, any accounts not activated by this date forfeit the offer.

Receive a University-branded merchandise bundle worth over £70. Bundle includes, but not limited to hoodie, backpack, water bottle, notepad. Availability of items and styles may vary. Students cannot exchange the bundle for a cash prize and the university reserves the right to withdraw any offer items without notice. Promotional items can be collected after moving into the accommodation in September 2023 from the Accommodation Team. The merchandise bundle must be collected by 01/11/2023, any promotional items not collected by this date will be forfeited.

The offer is available to New and Current (enrolled) Northumbria students who book accommodation for a minimum of 43 weeks between 01/05/2023 – 31/06/2023 using promo code #KitMeOut. The booking must be for the full 2023/2024 academic cycle. Bookings at Claude Gibb (catered contract) for a minimum of 39 weeks booked between the above-mentioned period are also eligible.

Bookings at Glenamara House, Trinity Square, Winn or New Bridge must be for the minimum period between 14/09/2023 - 11/07/2024.
Bookings at Claude Gibb must be for the minimum period between 14/09/2023 - 13/06/2024.
Bookings at Camden Court, Quay Point and Byron Central must be a minimum of 44 weeks and for the period between 14/09/2023 - 21/07/2024.
Booking at iQ Stephenson House must be for the minimum period of 43 weeks and for the period between 16/09/2023 - 13/07/2024

Any amendments to the length of the tenancy will void the promotion. Students must sign a fixed-term tenancy agreement and make £250 advance rent payment for the booking to be completed. To be eligible for the offer, you must have fully completed your booking, moved into the property and not have any outstanding rent arrears.

All cancellation requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and in conjunction with the contract’s terms and conditions. A cancellation request will be subject to an early contract termination fee of £250.

Pay no advance rent payment (saving of £250) when completing the accommodation booking - applicable for bookings at Claude Gibb, Glenamara House, Winn, New Bridge and Trinity Square only.

A chance to win a price of up to £130. Eligible to any bookings made using the #StickWithUs promo code between 15 February -  17 April 2023. Prices will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis and be allocated in random. Prizes include, but not limited to university branded merchandise, university branded clothing, AirPods, Beats by Dre, Garmin Sports watch, Amazon vouchers. Students cannot exchange the prize for a cash prize and the university reserves the right to withdraw any offer items without notice. The booking must be for the full 2023/2024 academic cycle. Bookings at Claude Gibb (catered contract) for a minimum of 39 weeks booked between the above-mentioned period are also eligible.

Bookings at Glenamara House, Trinity Square, Winn or New Bridge must be for the minimum period between 14/09/2023 - 11/07/2024. Bookings at Claude Gibb must be for the period between 14/09/2023 - 13/06/2024.

Bookings at Camden Court, Quay Point, Byron Central and iQ Stephenson House must be a minimum of 44 weeks and for the period between 14/09/2023 - 21/07/2024. Bookings at those residences are required to make an advance rent payment to complete the booking. Eligible bookings will receive £100 food credit only and a chance to win one the above-mentioned prizes.

Offer available for new or current (enrolled) Northumbria students only who book accommodation for a minimum of 43 weeks at Glenamara House or Trinity Square 14/04/2023 – 16/04/2023 using promo code #Spring50. The booking must be for the full 2023/2024 academic cycle. 

Bookings at Glenamara House or Trinity Square must be for the minimum period between 14/09/2023 - 11/07/2024.

Promotional items can be collected after moving into the accommodation in September 2023 from the Accommodation Team. Gift cards must be collected by 31/10/2023. Any promotional items not collected by this date will be forfeited. 

To be eligible for the offer, a booking must be completed within the promotional period. An online contract must be signed and a £250 advance rent payment is required for the booking to be completed. 

The gift card cannot be exchanged for a cash prize and the university reserves the right to withdraw any offer items without notice.

Exclusive offer for current (enrolled) Northumbria students only who book accommodation for a minimum of 43 weeks at Claude Gibb, Glenamara House, New Bridge, Trinity Square or Winn between 15/09/2022 – 31/12/2022 on production of a valid Cash Back 500 flyer. The booking must be for the full 2023/2024 academic cycle. Bookings at Claude Gibb (catered contract) for a minimum of 39 weeks are also eligible. The Cash Back 500 flyer must be given to a member of the accommodation team to be eligible.

Bookings at Glenamara House, Trinity Square, Winn or New Bridge must be for the period between 14/09/2023 - 11/07/2024. Bookings at Claude Gibb must be for the period between 14/09/2023 - 13/06/2024. Any amendments to the length of the tenancy will void the promotion. 

Receive a £500 as a rent credit in January 2024, providing the student’s account is up-to-date. The amount will be processed as a rent credit and cannot be given to the student, or any other account holder as cash or refund. The rent credit will be applied to the final rent instalment.

To be eligible for the offer, you must have fully completed your booking, moved into the property and not have any outstanding rent arrears. Credit to be raised subject to January 2024 instalment being paid in full. Credit amount will be processed providing that the student’s financial account is up-to date, there are no outstanding rent arrears, the rules of the tenancy agreement have been adhered to and there are no breaches in the House Rules or the tenancy agreement.

Trinity Square Sport Membership
10/11/2021 - 31/01/2022

New and current (enrolled) Northumbria University students who book accommodation for a minimum of 43 weeks at Trinity Square. Bookings must be completed between 10/11/2021 - 31/01/2022. Bookings must be for the 2022-23 academic year for a tenancy between 15/09/2022 - 13/07/2023. Any amendments to the length of the tenancy will void the promotion. 

Eligible bookings receive full access to the facilities at Sport Central, including gym, fitness classes, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Standard price is £200 for the full academic year.

To be eligible for the offer, you must have fully completed your booking and moved into the property for the 2022/2023 academic year.

The membership can be claimed from the Sport Central reception team in September 2022.

The sport membership is valid only for the duration of the tenancy. If the tenancy agreement is terminated, the sport membership is forfeited. If the student changes accommodation, the offer is not transferable. The University reserves the right to terminate this offer at any time. If you defer or withdraw your course programme after you move into the accommodation and lose your student status, you forfeit the offer.

Exclusive offer for current (enrolled) Northumbria students only who book accommodation for a minimum of 43 weeks at Lovaine Hall, Glenamara House, New Bridge, Trinity Square or Winn between 16/11/2021 – 30/01/2022 using promo code #Pays2Stay. The booking must be for the full 2022/2023 academic cycle. Bookings at Claude Gibb (catered contract) for a minimum of 39 weeks are also eligible.

Bookings at Lovaine Hall, Glenamara House, Trinity Square, Winn or New Bridge must be for the period between 15/09/2022 - 13/07/2023. Bookings at Claude Gibb must be for the period between 15/09/2021 - 15/06/2023. Any amendments to the length of the tenancy will void the promotion.
