Book your accommodation for September 2025 and receive a £100 catering credit. Whether you want to grab a coffee before your lecture, pick up a healthy lunch or try some new wholesome home-cooked meals with your flatmates - this offer will ensure you start the academic year right.

Eating on campus is an easy way to access fresh, healthy meals while also keeping track of your finances. To support the challenges we all face at the moment with rising prices, we are pleased to support this with value offers across all units where you will find meal deals, loyalty points and the newly created coffee loyalty card which will be available across on-campus catering outlets.

Eligible students must have a completed booking for the full 2025/26 academic year and have moved into the accommodation to receive the catering credit.

Offer Specific Terms and Conditions

Eat On Campus

Receive £100 credit for the catering outlets on campus. Credit will be applied via UniFoodHub App after the student has moved into the accommodation.

Catering credit will be applied to the student’s account in September 2025 and the student will be required to register for the UniFoodHub App using their university email address to activate the account.

The full credit balance must be used by 31 July 2026. The credit balance cannot be transferred to another account or deferred to another period.  Any balance remaining on the account after 31 July 2026 will be forfeited.

Students who book accommodation for a full academic year (minimum 43-week contract) will receive £100 catering credit. Students who book accommodation for a single semester (18 weeks minimum) will receive £50 catering credit.

Credit can be used in selected catering outlets located on Northumbria University City Campus, Newcastle.

Students cannot exchange the credit for cash alternative and the university reserves the right to withdraw any offers without notice.

The offer is available to New and Current (enrolled) Northumbria University students who book accommodation for a minimum of 43 weeks between 20/12/2024 – 11/09/2025. The booking must be for the 2025/26 academic cycle for one of the following properties: Glenamara House, New Bridge, Winn, Trinity Square, Camden Court, Byron Central, Quay Point, iQ Stephenson House, Portland Green Student Village, Stepney Yard, or The Bridge. Bookings must be made online via the Northumbria University Student Portal. Bookings made directly with a private accommodation provider are not eligible for this promotion.

Any amendments to the length of the tenancy will void the promotion. Students must sign a fixed-term tenancy agreement and make an advance rent payment for the booking to be completed. To be eligible for the offer, you must have fully completed your booking, moved into the property and not have any outstanding rent arrears.

Offer is subject to availability. Availability may differ between room types and buildings. Offer is not transferable and cannot be used alongside other promotions. The University reserves the right to terminate this offer at any time. If you defer or withdraw your course programme at any time and lose your student status, you forfeit the offer. This offer cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other promotion or discount.  

 

General Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions below apply to all offers in conjunction with offer-specific requirements.

  • All offers are non-transferable.
  • The Promotion is only available for students with a signed tenancy agreement on 43-week contracts and above, unless specified otherwise on the specific promotion terms and conditions.
  • The Promotion is only available to students who are currently residing in the accommodation. Vacating the accommodation or amending the contract length will void the promotion. 
  • To be eligible for the promotion, the student must have a signed tenancy agreement, paid an advance rent payment and moved into the property.
  • The Promotion is open to people who have a completed accommodation booking with Northumbria University during the Promotional Period.
  • Employees or any other person affiliated with Northumbria University, its partner companies or their family members, may not enter the Promotion.
  • By entering the Promotion participants agree to these Terms and Conditions, Northumbria University's online Terms and Conditions and the policies contained therein.
  • One entry per person, offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
  • Northumbria University accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt by Northumbria University.
  • Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be considered.
  • For any promotion where a prize draw is required, one winner will be chosen in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Winners will be randomly selected.
  • Any decision of the University associated with prize draw, and/or offers is final and cannot be appealed.
  • Only the prize or promotion on offer may be redeemed, alternatives or other requests will not be considered.
  • Winners will be notified via email. The University will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner with details on how to claim. Prizes that have not been claimed within 2 working days will be forfeited. In this instance the University reserves the right to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. If the winner rejects the Promotion or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Promotion will be forfeited and the University reserves the right to select another winner.
  • Prizes and Promotions are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
  • The University reserves the right to substitute any prize with a different prize of similar value.
  • The winner may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Promotion and the winner shall participate in such activity on the University’s reasonable request.
  • The University accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, or injury incurred by you as a result of entering the Promotion or accepting and using the prize. The University further disclaims liability for any damage to your or any other person relating to the participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Promotion.
  • The University accepts no liability for Promotional items which are lost, stolen, destroyed or not redeemed within the activation period specified by the original provider. 
  • The University reserves the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any Promotion with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of the university in all matters under its control is final and cannot be appealed.
  • The University reserves the right to amend, void, suspend or cancel the Promotion at any time without notice.
