As Registrar, Melanie
operates at a strategic level to lead policy, procedure and management of
quality assurance and regulatory compliance pertaining to student and academic
support, programme and partnership management. She leads professional support
teams to deliver these key activities along with projects aligned to the
University Strategy.
Melanie has held previous
roles at the University as Faculty Registrar and School Registrar where her
responsibilities included leading and managing academic and student
administration in addition to strategic planning and budget management.
In addition to having
worked at Northumbria for a number of years, Melanie is also a Northumbria
alumni, having graduated with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. She is
actively involved in national networks including the Academic Registrars
Council along with other informal networks. She is committed to working
across the University and the Higher Education sector in enhancing quality,
standards, compliance and academic administration in line with the University's
Strategy.
