Dr Ulugbek Azimov

Associate Professor

Department: Mechanical and Construction Engineering

EE Ulugbek Azimov Staffprofile 255I joined Northumbria University in September 2013 after serving at Curtin University in Malaysia as a Senior Lecturer and a Head of Mechanical Engineering department. I also worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Leeds in the UK, Okayama University in Japan, and Chonnam National University in South Korea. In addition, I have spent 5 years of my career working for automotive industry as an engineer and manager. During my academic career I have obtained a few awards and fellowships such as Global scholarship for PhD studies, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science postdoctoral research fellowship, and the Postdoctoral research fellowship under the award of Technology Strategy Board. I was also awarded the Felix Weinberg Prize for best research paper presentation at the Forum for Research Students and Early Career Researchers organized by the Institute of Physics.
