What expertise will you bring to AI?

I bring a multidisciplinary background that connects art, design, science, and education. I hold a BS in Science and Design, an MS in Pharmaceutical Science, and an MID in Design. My experience spans product design, scientific research, and makerspace education, where I have guided schools and organisations in developing science and design curricula that make technology playful and accessible. I am also a practicing artist and have assisted in teaching ceramics as art therapy, using hands-on creative practice to support wellbeing and self-expression. These experiences allow me to bring a human-centred, creative perspective to emerging technologies.

Research Interests

My research explores how participatory art workshops and hands-on creative activities, such as working with clay, can support wellbeing in relation to technology. By combining artistic practice with design research, I aim to investigate how AI can enhance collaborative creative experiences and foster meaningful interaction with digital tools. I am particularly interested in co-design approaches that give individuals a voice in shaping learning environments and creative resources.

What made you want to apply for CCAI?

I enjoy the combination of structured classes and collaborative discovery within a close-knit cohort. I look forward to learning from my peers’ diverse experiences and sharing my own. The interdisciplinary nature of the programme aligns closely with my interests at the intersection of design, social science, and computing.

What are your ambitions for AI? How do you plan to change the world?

Supporting creative expression through AI in community art-making is an area I find compelling. Opportunities exist to design personalized tools that make artistic practice more accessible and adaptable. I plan to develop workshops and experiences that foster wellbeing and inclusion, ensuring technology enhances human creativity and supports meaningful engagement in collaborative environments.
