Stonewall Diversity Champion

Stonewall is Britain’s leading charity that fights for freedom, equity, and potential of lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning and ace (LGBTQ+) people.

Stonewall Diversity Champions Programme logoAs part of our commitment to creating a more inclusive and welcoming University, we are proud to be a member of the Stonewall Diversity Champions programme. This is an employers’ programme for ensuring all LGBTQ+ staff are free to be themselves in the workplace. It provides the University with expertise and guidance on different areas of LGBTQ+ inclusion.

We seek to create an environment in which every single member of staff and each student is heard, valued, and treated with respect, regardless of their gender identity, sexual orientation, or anything else. We believe that our participation in the Stonewall Diversity Champions programme will bring us closer to that goal.

There are over 900 Stonewall Diversity Champions across the UK, both public and private sector organisations, who strive to share Stonewall core belief in the power of a workplace that is truly equal. Find out more.
