City Campus

Purpose-built and versatile spaces for a variety of events including conferences, talks, lectures and seminars.

Our £100 million, award-winning City Campus East development houses purpose-built and versatile spaces for conferences, talks, lectures and seminars hosting up to 400 people. The many rooms vary in size enabling conference holders to offer more intimate settings for smaller group work, as well as offering an open exhibition/networking space and catering area. These eco-friendly buildings are now part of the dramatic city skyline and provide the perfect venue to meet.

For a more contemporary space, our Hedley Suite and Student Central Atrium are newly refurbished and offer versatile, sustainable spaces that can be used for school groups, meetings, networking and exhibitions.

Further meeting rooms are available on City Campus West, right at the heart of our campus, where buildings have been refurbished to a high standard offering meeting space for up to 250 delegates, together with exhibition space and catering facilities. Being just a five-minute walk from Newcastle’s city centre shopping area, excellent public transport links and a pedestrianised campus helps make Northumbria University an attractive venue for event organisers and delegates.

We can accommodate one-off meetings and regular bookings, as well as multiple bookings on campus for larger conferences.
