Career Path: Lecturer - Marketing & Management, Open University of Mauritius

I am currently a Lecturer at the Open University of Mauritius in the field of Marketing and Management. I am a certified Digital Marketing Professional and also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (Advance HE). I recently became a certified practitioner from the Blackboard Academy. I am also open to collaborate on research.

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?Abheenaye Chauhan Gokhool

I visited Newcastle upon Tyne in 2000 and I fell in love with the city and football team. Ever since, I've wanted to study there. After my studies, I did come to Newcastle twice and I'm looking forward to come again in the future. 

What was the best thing about your course?

The different modules which were very interesting and also the business game which was something new to me.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

Studying there has enabled me to have a global mindset.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The lectures, classmates from different countries and the atmosphere.

What advice would you give somebody who is considering studying at Northumbria?

Go for it!

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

A dream come true!
