Identity

April 2023

Identity was the first course of it's kind here at Converge at Northumbria. Our students looked specifically at ‘the experiences of neurodivergent women and how we perceive ourselves and our identities in society,' through various different forms of art and exploration.

Zineasons

April 2023

During this course Converge students had the opportunity to work with Fine Art students to create their very own 'Zineasons.' These were zines that were inspired by the four seasons. Each week students had the chance to explore different art forms such as bubble print and lino print.

Movement Fashion and Culture

October 2022

In collaboration with Eliot Smith Dance, the aim of this course was to explore the impact that fast fashion has on climate change and its impact on culture via the medium of movement and dance.

Sofa to Stage

April 2021

Converge Students worked to write and perform their own monologues, through one to one sessions with one of Alphabetti Theatre's Associate Artists. To listen to these, click here.

Converge Collection

April 2021

Converge Collection explored a range of different mediums, and students got the chance to meet new people and learn new skills. Students worked with an artist to design and produce a ‘Converge Collection’ of art, and all supplies were provided by us!

Welcome to Drama

April 2021

This course, which was delivered over Zoom, delved into the world of drama and was exciting, educational and most of all… DRAMATIC! Students were able to learn techniques, styles and exciting new skills in the world of theatre with our very own Cat Catizone, accompanied by 3 final-year drama students!
