Faculty Education Research Group

This cross-disciplinary group supports educational and pedagogic research, ranging from small projects with an immediate impact on the student experience, through to funded collaborative projects with external partners generating high impact outputs.

The Faculty Education Research Group is an inclusive group embracing all disciplines across the Faculty. The aim of the group is to encourage and support educational and pedagogic research from small projects with an immediate impact on the student experience through to funded collaborative projects with external partners generating high impact outputs.

The group focuses on both educational theory, and its application in practice. It provides an inclusive forum embracing research at all education levels, from primary, secondary and post-compulsory, through to further and higher education, spanning all disciplines in the Faculty.

The group meets as a whole to explore topics of collective interest but also has meetings focused currently on the sub-themes of:

  • Employability
  • Diversity
  • Retention and Progression
  • Technology

The group also links to the work of NUSTEM.
