Do you offer an online Pre-sessional programme?

For entry to degree courses on Newcastle Campus, all of our Pre-sessional courses are currently available on-campus only. Studying in the UK prior to your degree start allows a unique opportunity to become more familiar with your learning and living environment, teaching and learning approaches and the facilities available to you when in the UK, which cannot be replicated online.

Please note that further support is provided for you once you are on your degree programme in the form of a core module for International/EU students, Academic Language Skills.

I already have the English language qualifications I need for my degree programme. Can I still join a Pre-sessional course to better prepare myself?

Yes, you can enrol in a Pre-sessional course if you wish to enhance your skills prior to starting your degree programme to increase your chances of success. However, please note that if you decide to join, performance in your Pre-sessional assessments will determine whether you are offered a place at the University, not your previous English language qualifications upon application.
