We offer two types of sessions:
1. Spotlight Sessions. These sessionsshine a light on specific industries and career prospects,
from finding a placement, postgraduate study and jobs in the public sector, teaching,
mental health and many more.
2. Career Essential Sessions. Within these sessions you will learn or brush-up on the essential components that can create career success. From CV and application forms to interviews, psychometric tests, and job hunting. These sessions have been created to ensure you have the essentials to succeed.
As a Northumbria student you will be given access the Event Calendar, you are able to book onto session where you can talk to career advisers or employers. Employers host sessions for you to understand the different industries and what qualities they are looking for in candidates. This will enable you to understand the job application process whilst thinking about your career plans.
Career Workshops
Our career workshops include the Career Essential sessions, and the more focused Spotlight sessions are delivered by employers and the Graduate Futures team. Register for a session to speed up your career plan.
