Thomas Ellis

Assistant Professor

Department: Northumbria School of Design, Arts and Creative Industries

Tom started his time at Northumbria University as an undergraduate on the very course he then came to teach on. This not only reflects that Tom will never dare to grow up, but also the fact that he believes in this course and what it embodies! He has since moved around the faculty and currently teaches into the Fashion Communication and Graphic Design undergraduate degree programmes. Prior to his teaching post, Tom spent time working as a presenter and producer for a gaming business. Within this capacity he also provided marketing and promotional strategies for the company. At the same time he pursued a Masters of Research degree and has recently completed his PhD titled:

The Art of Collecting Fancy Paper: Understanding the Assignment of Values to Collecting Alternative Movie Posters
