I am an English language teacher in Prague. I first decided to get into teaching because it was a good way to travel and experience living in different countries.

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

I had already completed my Undergraduate degree at Northumbria and so I knew that there was a good International Development department at the University.

What was it like studying at Northumbria?

 It was mostly seminars with individual work and team projects.

What was the best thing about your course?

The different perspective on life and the economics of the world that studying at Northumbria gave me.

How did studying at Northumbria help you achieve your career goals/ give your career an edge?

The degree spurred me on to find a career in which I could help people better their circumstances in life.

Which skills/knowledge did you learn on your course that you use most now throughout your career?

Research, planning and working on projects in a team.

What did you enjoy most about your time at Northumbria University?

The sense of community.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

Inspiring, challenging and enjoyable.
