Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies and FinTech (BCF)Research Group is a pioneering team of multi-disciplinary experts working with a wide network of industry players and public sector organisations.

Blockchain is regarded as the next disruptive force after the Internet, which is posed to radically change various industries and societal aspects. On another level, application of technology in the financial sector (FinTech) is posed to drastically change this domain.

At Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies and FinTech (BCF)Research Group we are the 3rd university-based entity in the UK leading this change wave through joining force with our wide-ranging prominent external industrial, academic and public sector partners on a global scale. BCF Research Group includes prominent academic members from various university faculties and departments which include the Newcastle Business School, Law School, Faculty of Engineering and Environment and Faculty of Arts, Design and Social Sciences.

Presently BCF members are engaged in:

• Pioneering applied research

• Industry projects involving design, implementation and execution

• Consultancy and advisory services

• Executive education and training
