Clearing on results day 2024.
Results day can be stressful for both teachers and
students. Here at Northumbria University, we want to help you prepare in the
best way possible.

As a teacher, you’ll be an invaluable
source of support for your students at this time and we are here to support you
through this challenging period.
Whether your students have already
received their results or are waiting for August, it’s never too early to think
about what happens next.
We always recommend that students
research courses that they might like to study if they were to enter Clearing
and join Northumbria University.
The Clearing Hotline Team will be
available to discuss opportunities at Northumbria University from 8am on
results day and will talk through the different options available. Please
remind students to have their UCAS ID and details of qualifications to hand
before calling.

Dual and Alternative Offers
Students may receive a Dual Offer or an Alternative
Offer for an integrated Foundation Year.
We will have made some students a
Dual Offer at their initial point of application. This is an insurance option
should students miss out on their grades, they will have an offer to study on
one of our integrated Foundation Years.
Whilst on results day, students who
did not already hold a Dual Offer may be made an Alternative Offer for an
integrated Foundation Year if they have missed out on the grades for their
original course.
Both a Dual Offer and an Alternative
Offer are conditional of students meeting the entry requirements for the
relevant Foundation Year. If a student receives either a Dual Offer or an
Alternative Offer, all they need to do is login to UCAS Hub and accept the
offer within 5 days.
