Meet lecturers
One thing for sure Northumbria has some of the best lecturers in the country, this will give you chance to meet the staff who will be teaching you throughout your time at Northumbria. This is a perfect chance to ask those crucial questions and gain an insight into the courses teaching structure.
Meet current students
Along with meeting the staff of the university, this is also an opportunity to meet current students. Dotted around campus during the day, current students will be working at the open day and you can’t miss them as they’ll be wearing bright orange t-shirts. Be sure to pick their brains with them all important questions regarding university life in Newcastle.
Tour of accommodation
Accommodation is super important while at university, it becomes a place where you will typically spend your first year and provides the perfect opportunity to meet new friends. Touring the accommodations will give you and your parents peace of mind before selecting where to stay.
Visit the university's facilities
As much as the experience day is revolved around your specific course application, you will still be able to sample the universities other facilities such as the newly refurbished library and sport central.
Experience the atmosphere around campus
Attending the experience day will give you the chance to take in the atmosphere around campus and get feel for student life at Northumbria. I remember this was that reaffirmed my own decision to come to Northumbria, as the atmosphere around campus was amazing.
