Dr Gendao Li

Dr. Gendao Li is an Associate Professor in Operations Management and the Director of Enterprise and Engagement in Department of Marketing, Operations and System. Prior to the current positon, Gendao was a Senior Lecturer in Operations Management. Before that he was a Senior Research Fellow in the Business School of Bedfordshire. Gendao got his first degree in Information Management and Information Systems in Chongqing University, China in 2004 and was awarded PhD in Management Science and Engineering in the same university in 2009.

Gendao is passionate in teaching and research.  He is very active in academic activities.  He is a member of Production and Operations Management Society. As a referee, he is serving for journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, Omega – the International Journal of Management Science, Fuzzy Optimization and Decision Making etc. Dr. Li’s research focuses on supply chain management, particularly Omni-channel supply chain management and sustainable supply chain management using quantitative research methods, e.g. mathematical modelling, simulation etc. His research has been published in international leading/excellence level journals in his research areas, including European Journal of Operational Research(ABS 4*), International Journal of Production Research(ABS 3*), International Journal of Production Economics(ABS 3*), Journal of Operational Research Society(ABS 3*), etc.  As principal investigator, he has run and is running projects funded by the British Academy, Chinese National Nature Science Research Council, Cocoon Network, Ltd. etc.

Dr. Gendao Li is keen to work with industries. He has extensive industry collaborations, for example, EGGER, Coty UK, Metro shipping, North East Chamber of Commerce, North East Freight Partnership, AECOM etc.
