Elisangela D'Oliveira Investigation of heat transfer enhancement in thermal storage systems with phase change materials Start Date: 01/10/2019

Dr Costa is a mechanical engineer who joined Northumbria as Marie Curie Research Fellow in 2016 to investigate phase change materials as latent heat thermal energy storages. She received her PhD in 2014 at Mondragon University (Basque Country, Spain) for her research in regenerative heat transfer in Stirling Engines for cogeneration. In 2018, she took a Senior Lecturer position in the Department of Mechanical and Construction Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering & Environment. Dr Costa previously worked for several years as a senior research/product engineer in an industrial R&D Centre and the automotive industry.
