Our conference and events experts are on hand throughout your experience to recommend the best spaces and services for your requirements.

Understanding, planning, coordination, imagination; it takes a lot to organise a successful event. At Northumbria University you don’t have to do it alone as our dedicated events team will be with you every step of the way. Whatever you need, we’ll make it happen.

If you are looking for a one-stop-shop to manage all aspects of your event, then take a look at the additional support services that Northumbria University’s experienced Conferencing and External Hire team has to offer.

We are always happy to offer advice and creative input with respect to event formats, entertainment, staging and technical suppliers and anything else you might want to discuss.

Our services include the provision of and / or guidance around:

IT / AV

Our University IT department can provide expert advice, equipment and set up assistance to ensure your event runs smoothly.

Security

We have worked with internal and external security teams, providing advice and stewarding to ensure our clients have full confidence in the running of large, public events.

Health, Safety and Environment

We have experts on hand to help guide you through the risk assessment process, to ensure all eventualities are considered and contingency plans put in place.

Catering and Retail

Our food and drink is environmentally sustainable; the coffee on offer is certified by Fairtrade as part of the Starbucks ‘proud to serve’ brand and our tasty tea is provided by Clipper. We also serve MCScertified fish from sustainable sources, helping to keep our oceans alive. Offering the option to use crockery and environmentally friendly water “vivreau”

We can liaise with our on-campus Catering team, advising on cost and sample or bespoke menus. Click for further information 

Accommodation

We can check availability and arrange reservations to suit your numbers during the summer period. Whether it be a booking for a large group or an individual, we’ll ensure we get you checked in to comfortable surroundings for your stay.

Sports Products

Our dedicated Sport team can provide conference passes for use at the renowned Sport Central complex, as well as creating bespoke team building packages and corporate sporting activity days.

Marketing

We work closely with our Marketing, Brand and PR team, who are able to offer a full support service including the project management of publicity materials, media enquiries and press conferences, digital marketing and research.

Sustainability

Collateral 

We can work with you to produce merchandise and materials for your conference or event such as printed posters, programmes, folders or merchandise such as branded pens, notepads and bags.
