What are you doing now?

I am currently taking a gap year before hopefully embarking on a PhD in Microbiology!

What was it about Northumbria that made you decide to study here?

The Biomedical Science degree sounded absolutely brilliant, I was specifically pulled in by the promise of a high amount of lab based hours, and the laboratory facilities! My decision to study at Northumbria was influenced as well by the location and layout of the Newcastle City Centre campus, and its feel for student life and comfortable study areas.

What was it like studying at Northumbria? (eg. were there a mix of lectures, seminars, team projects?

The study experience at Northumbria is exceptional. Lectures are given to a high-quality standard and are always informative, practical learning is brilliantly done, and staff are always happy to help on a one to one basis!

What was the best thing about your course?

Laboratory experience and the positive staff-student relationships.

What advice would you give somebody who is considering studying at Northumbria?

Don't think about, just go for it 110%! You won't regret your decision whatsoever.

How would you describe your time at Northumbria in three words?

Exciting, comfortable and fun.
