Lesley Moody OBELesley Moody OBE

Lesley is Managing Director of Tees Valley based AES Digital Solutions Ltd, a company specialising in the design and development of on- line applications and software. She is the longest serving President of the North East England Chamber of Commerce having been President since March 2019 until June 2022 and is Vice-Chair of the Chamber board.

Before setting up AES Digital Solutions Ltd. in 1992, Lesley worked in the education sector. She taught in secondary education and worked in the Education Advisory Services in Northumberland and Cleveland.

She has been a school governor and trustee for over 30 years sitting on or chairing the boards for a number of schools in the North East and currently sits on the board of Newcastle High School for Girls.

In June 2015 she was awarded an MBE as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to education, international trade and business. And was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list in 2022 for services to business and the community.

As MD of AES Digital Solutions Ltd. Lesley has worked with companies around the world and she is a Department for International Trade Northern Powerhouse Export Champion.

Born in Northumberland, she lives still in the county and is married with two grown-up children and four small grandchildren.
