Caroline TheobaldCaroline Theobald CBE FRSA

Caroline has spent her working life in the north helping individuals gain the skills and connections they need to achieve their dreams. She’s done this through her companies Bridge Club Ltd and FIRST and also through her board appointments which are currently:  Power of Women CiC; North East Initiative on Business Ethics Ltd; and Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University.  She’s passionate about people and the power of collaboration and connections

Caroline’s non-executive roles are focused on contributing to a vibrant and sustainable regional economy.  She is a founding director of the North East Initiative on Business Ethics and Teesside’s Power of Women campaign. As chair of the Advisory Board to Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University, she is working with the executive on a new strategy for the School to become a Force for Good.  She is currently working with Northstar Ventures to help mobilise their Venture North Fund and in the south of the region she is an associate of the Tees Valley Business Network where she leads on ‘in conversation with’ and business ethics’ events

Over the past 14 years she has served as an honorary diplomat to the Swedish Government and as the northeast region Swedish Chamber of Commerce’s chapter chair through which she promotes the region as an inward investment destination for Swedish companies. 

In 2007 Caroline accepted a Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion for the work she continues to do in harnessing the enterprising capital of young people and business owner/managers.  She was awarded a CBE for services to business and entrepreneurship in 2016.
