Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

Great sport facilities and great campus with a course perfect for me. 

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Love Newcastle! Great city for going out, shopping and having fun!

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

How close everything is to the centre. You don't have to walk far to do something interesting!

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

Yes, the campus has a great atmosphere and everybody helps if anyone has any questions/problems.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The amazing campus and how close it is to city centre so it's easily accessible.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

The people around me on my course, we inspire each other to make the most of the money we're spending on education and do well!

What is your favourite place on campus?

Sport Central and the library!

What is the best thing about your course?

It's very practice based with appropriate and enjoyable theory.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

To be yourself and enjoy your time at university before the real work begins!

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to be a PE teacher. My confidence and independence has increased with being at uni which will help me go out and get work experience in schools

Have you taken up any opportunities to travel with your current course/undertake field trips? If so, please tell us about them.

In September 2014 I'm going to Morocco with Northumbria to help build a school for less fortunate children.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Work hard and make the most of your time at university, goto all lecture and seminars. No matter how late the night before was!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I feel like my confidence has increased with being at uni and I have also become quite a good cool which comes in handy!

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Fun, amazing and perfect!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?
