Change of circumstances

You put a great deal of thought into which course to apply for, you get the grades you need to start your preferred programme, and you arrive at university ready to go. From there, in the vast majority of cases, you’ll find that your programme exceeds your expectations and you have a great time during your studies.

Sometimes, however, a person’s circumstances can change. For example, you might find you need to talk to someone about possibly changing from one programme to another, taking some time out away from your studies or leaving your programme early. Should you ever find yourself in a situation like this at Northumbria, we are here to support you.

If your circumstances change after you start your programme, your Student Success Team is here to help you access support that would be helpful to you, and enable you to make an informed choice about what to do next.

Current students should log on to your Student Portal and visit our Thinking about changing course (transfer), taking time out (interruption) or leaving the University (withdrawal) article.
