The University has a long history of accepting Qatari students onto its degree programmes; examples in recent years include Built Environment, Business Management, Computer Science, Electrical And Electronic Engineering, Finance And Investment Management, International Business Management, Logistics And Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, Quantity Surveying, Sport Management and many more.

Northumbria University has been approved by the Qatar Supreme Education Council for funding in all subjects. Information on applying for funding from the SEC can be found on their website.

Although some courses have specific requirements for entry, Northumbria will consider any qualification for entry to its courses.

International Foundation Programme Al-Thanawaya Al-Amah (General Education Secondary Certificate) 70% or above + IELTS of 5.0
1st Year Undergraduate Associate Degree C / 2.75 GPA
Advanced entry from Bachelors degree – entry after year 1 of Qatari degree  2.75 GPA, and having completed around 30 credit hours 
Advanced Undergraduate

Level 5
2 year Diploma

2.75 GPA+

Advanced entry from Bachelors degree – entry after year 2 of Qatari degree 2.75 GPA, and having completed around 60 credit hours

Level 6
3 year Advanced Diploma

2.75 GPA+

Advanced entry from Bachelors degree – entry after year 3 of Qatari degree 2.75 GPA, and having completed around 90 credit hours
Postgraduate Programmes Bachelor Degree 2.75/4.0 GPA for courses requiring a UK 2:2 equivalent

CGPA 3.2/4 or 4.0/5 for courses requiring a UK 2:1 equivalent
Graduate Certificate Bachelor Degree 2.00 GPA

Actual requirements may vary depending on your chosen course of study and certain courses may have specific or additional entry requirements, full details can be found on our course directory. Decisions for entry will also be based on personal statements, previous study information and not just your final course grading.
