Although some courses have specific requirements for entry, Northumbria will consider any qualification for entry to its courses.

IFP General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) 75% / A / Distinction
General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) May be considered if entry requirements for target course are not met. Applications will be evaluated on a case by case basis
1st Year Undergraduate General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) As per course A Level requirements
National Certificate 65% / B / Very Good Pass
Postgraduate Programmes Bachelor General Degree B+ / 3.3 / Second Upper
Bachelor Special Degree / Professional Degree B / 3.0 / Second Lower for courses requiring a 2:2

B+ / 3.3 / Second Upper for courses requiring a 2:1
Graduate Certificate Bachelor General Degree C+ / 2.3 / Pass
Bachelor Special Degree / Professional Degree C / 2.0 / Pass
