The Management, Science and Coaching of SportThe module enables you to demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the various processes and practices that are central to professions within the sport industry (namely: sport management, sport science and sport coaching).
The multi-disciplinary nature of this module is designed to enable you to appreciate and evaluate sport, as a global business, from an informed and inquisitive viewpoint. Students will engage, in-depth with a variety of principles and issues in relation to the management of major sporting events, and the science and coaching of professional football, where the applied nature of the programme will help bring a real world context to the taught programme. You will also develop transferable skills in areas such as: communication, negotiation, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving.
