What courses accept online applications?

How to apply:

Using the Apply Online function on our course listing is the preferred option for applications. This method allows you to upload your supporting documents at the time of application and automatically receive your student application number.

If you are applying for the International Foundation Programme please indicate in your personal statement which undergraduate course you wish to undertake upon completion of the foundation.


What courses accept online applications?

You can apply via UCAS for Undergraduate programmes that are available in either September or March 

How to Apply?

Applications are made online using the UCAS institution code for Northumbria University which is NORTH N77

Postgraduate Research

How to Apply?

You can apply for PhDs and Professional Doctorates such as DBAs and DBLs by visiting our how to apply page

What documents should I include?

Please note that applications will only be accepted when submitted with the following information:

  • A fully completed application form (all sections must be completed)
  • Evidence of previous academic qualifications (certificates and transcripts)
  • Evidence of accepted English language proficiency for applicants whose first language is not English
  • A research proposal, outlining your area of research; please note that even if you are applying for a specific research vacancy with a pre-defined research proposal, you are still required to write a proposal. For guidance on writing your research proposal, please see here.

The DBA/DBL is an October intake only. The deadline is 1st June 2017.

Supporting Documents

In order for us to assess your application in a timely manner, it is important that you provide us with the following documents when you apply to avoid delays:

  • Fully completed application form
  • Personal Email address must be included on application form
  • Transcripts and/or certificates (including a certified translation if not in English) for qualifications already completed
  • Passport - copy of personal details page
  • Proof of financial sponsorship if applicable
  • Portfolio if required
  • Confirmation of UK immigration history including copies of previous and current UK visas if applicable
