Stephen Donnelly

Stephen Donnelly is a senior lecturer in the department of Accounting and Financial Managment.  He specialises in the teaching of financial and management accounting.

Before joining Newcastle Business School Stephen worked for BPP (Professional Education), the first private for profit university in the UK.  Stephen taught courses for all the large professional bodies in the UK, particularly ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA and ICAS, frequently lead CPD training sessions for qualified members of these bodies.  

Stephen's research interest combines his experience of accounting with his love for teaching as he focuses on the training of professional accountants, in particular he focuses on the difficulties of skills acquisiton compared to the knowledge acquition.
