Dr Jane Brown

Lecturer

Jane is a Lecturer in Marketing. She joined NBS in 2011 as an Associate Lecturer, moving to a full time role in 2012. Her research interests lie within consumer behaviour, branding and communications in both B2C and B2B contexts. She specialises in qualitative research approaches.

Jane has worked across several sectors at management level including not-for-profit, military and aerospace engineering, zero/low carbon engineering, and cosmetics. Proficient in the Adobe suite for artwork creation and brand application, Jane has designed and implemented several branding/re-branding activities for SMEs.

Jane has a PhD, an MA with distinction in Marketing, and a first class BA (Hons) in Design Management and Innovation. She has previously lectured for the CIM at Newcastle College and Gateshead College, and as an Associate Lecturer for Sunderland University.
