20th October 2015

Northumbria University, Newcastle, has partnered with the Scottish knowledge exchange hub Design in Action (DiA) to stage a 2-day residential workshop and networking event to promote well-being and healthcare.

The sandpit-style seminar will seek to develop new and innovative approaches that could be applied in contexts such as health education and promotion, primary care delivery and the commissioning of public health services.

Bruce Watson, head of INNOVATE at Northumbria, said: “through the Chiasma we hope to stimulate collaboration and innovative thinking in the health and social care space. Our aim over the two days is create insight and turn this insight into new opportunities, better services and even sustainable business proposals  which address real health and wellbeing needs and ultimately enrich our lives.. Bringing the best minds in this field together will I’m sure help unlock a host of solutions and inform policy-making in the future. I would urge anyone with an interest in this important area to apply to attend."

The Chiasma will take place at the Northern Design Centre from 4pm on Tuesday 3rd - 5pm on Thursday 5th November.
